Nile Travel International is a South African based tour operator dedicated to providing a high level of travel services and advice. We arrange trips to most countries, including some of the more hard to reach destinations. You can choose to join any of our scheduled tours or we can customise a package for you.
Kim Lings is the owner of Nile Travel, a founding, corporate and honorary life member of the Ancient Egyptian Society as well as a Member of the Egyptian Exploration Society in London. Kim has excellent knowledge on Ancient Egypt, having visited the country on 45 occasions over the past twenty two years. Kim has lectured on various topics to a wide range of institutions including the Ancient Egyptian Society, CANSA Association and the Rotary Club, been published in Odyssey and Travel Ideas magazines and has been interviewed on Radio 702.
We are dedicated to providing impeccable service and have grown substantially each year since inception in 2000. This success reflects a unique combination of a passion for all things Egyptian, attention to detail, dedication to each client, excellent travel contacts as well as the use of knowledgeable and dedicated guides around the world.
Over the years, due to popular demand, Nile Travel has expanded to include tours and customised travel to Jordan, Turkey, Israel, Morocco, Peru, Easter Island, India, China, Tibet, Greece etc. Our service includes assisting you with your travel arrangements to any destination visited by Kim Lings listed under the section “Kim’s Travels” e.g. Antarctica Cruise, Cambodia, Galapagos, Iceland, Greenland etc.
Customised Bookings
Not everyone can travel on the tour dates we provide, and sometimes you’d rather travel with friends or family, or even on your own. Nile Travel “Customised Bookings” is a service for those clients who prefer not to travel with an open group but rather as individuals or with family and a few close friends.
Perhaps you want to design your own holiday, we will be delighted to help create your dream holiday and make all the arrangements. A desert safari in Egypt, a cruise to Antarctica, a trip to Angkor Wat – all are within reach. Nile Travel can find you the best available holiday at a price to suit you.
We can arrange local guides, private drivers and deal with almost any special request – we’ve had plenty of experience at looking after the most discerning travellers.
Annual Tours
While Egypt is one of the main destinations offered by Nile Travel, Kim Lings is passionate about travelling in general and some years offers an “Annual Tour” to a new destination. In 2015 we visited Myanmar and Nepal. The destination for 2016 was Romania, in 2017 Mexico and Tibet and China in 2019. The destinations for 2025 are Egypt and Jordan and possibly Indonesia.
